B.A.M. (Books, Articles, Movies) Talk!

Where friends new and old come together for an enjoyable night of energetic conversation.

This month, we’ll share where we are with reading Wil Carpenter’s books and we should be able to swap, too!

Since May is Mental Health Awareness month, we will also watch some movies or TV shows, articles and books on the topic and discuss at our May meeting. The NAMI sites: https://www.nami.org/ and https://namimontcopa.org/ have a wealth of information, including podcasts, videos and other resources on Mental Health topics.

Here are links to lists of NAMI suggested movies/TV shows:

“You Are Not Alone” by Ken Duckworth
“Turtles All the Way Down” by Jon Green
“On Edge: A Journey Through Anxiety” by Andrea Petersen
“Crazy Is My Superpower” by AJ Mendez Brooks
“Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine: A Novel” by Gail Honeyman
“The Lonely Century” by Noreena Hertz).

So we’ll have lots to chat about in May!

Whether you read the book or view some of the videos or articles, free to join us on Zoom on Wed., 5/10. This month’s Zoom link:
