Pastoral Reassignment Announcement

February 2, 2019

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Pastor Sunil Balasundaram has been resigned by the United Methodist Conference effective July 1, 2019. He will move on to serve Doylestown United Methodist Church. We are sad to see him move on after only two years with our congregation. In that time he has helped many grow in their faith and pushed us to discover what God can do in our lives and through us.

Our new minister will be Rev. Dr. Timothy Duchesne. He has been a United Methodist minister since 1998 and is married to Rev. Dr. Suzanne Duchesne PH.D, who is also an ordained Elder in the Eastern Pennsylvania United Methodist Conference. Rev. Tim has had the honor of serving seven churches in Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware with an average Sunday worship attendance ranging from 50-280 people. These churches have primarily been suburban and mainline inter-generational congregations who worshipped with styles ranging from blended to highly sacramental to contemporary.

Tim currently serves on the Congregational Development Team for the conference and has extensive training in Appreciative Approach to ministry, which focuses on helping churches discover what is life giving, in order that they may design, develop and implement desired ministries for sustainable church growth. He is also a board member of Kirby Smith Associates and The Methodist Services, Home for Children.
